Wirelessly posted (8100 Strike 2)

Well I finally made some head way and set up my 8100 as a modem, but when I go to connect I get error 734: the ppp link protocol was terminated. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It goes towards your data usage if you have a data plan, and i believe its biller per KB.
Approach with caution, ive seen accounts with people who have tethered and d/l movies and end up with a bill of $50,000.

Avoid the P2P stuff as well. The Carriers don't look favorably on P2P over their networks.

Yeah,Rogers is about the only provider that doesn't have unld data access plans...which is really shi%%y if you ask me,they have promotional plans like the 6GB plan for 30.00 but that promo expeires at the end of the month in which than it will be like 4 times the price.

Ive dealt with some very angry people after they get their bills from travelling and tethering their BB's with their laptops :P Im glad im not in their shoes though, cuz rogers are pricks and will make them still pay for it.

I have Tmobile and use my Curve to tether all the time. Works just fine and I have the unlimited BB package with Tmobile. The speed is fine if you are using it just for Craigslist...
