Default Trouble loading software on computer pearl 2

Please Login to Remove!

I bought a pearl 2 through alltel last thursday, and last night I tried loading the software on my computer. The install would seem to go fine but it would hang up on the roxio installation screen about half way through. I let it keep trying for about 30 min and it never moved so I had to end task. I removed the software and tried it again...same thing.

Has anyone else ran into this? What should I try to do so that I can get the software on my maching?

I can plug the phone in and access the 2gb mem card that I loaded, but that is all I can do.

Help.

Try installing 4.2 SP1 or 4.2 SP2. They are less buggy than 4.3, and if you use 4.2 SP2 you don't have to deal w/the Roxio Media software.

You can find the other versions here:

I agree with all this. Desktop Manager 4.2 SP2 comes in a version with and without Roxio. Roxio does work but, IMO, is bloat-ware.

Oops, I mispoke, John, and you trusted me, unfortunately!

It's 4.2 SP1 that leaves out Roxio...I have 4.2 SP2 installed (was getting some calendar sync errors w/4.2 SP1 so thought I'd see if going to 4.2 SP2 helped) and 4.2 SP2 has an earlier version of the Roxio Media Manager.

So go 4.2 SP1 to skip the Roxio media manager...
