I have a Sprite that I use as follows in an extended GameCanvas:

sprite=new Sprite(spriteImage,WIDTH,HEIGHT);
startx=(w-sprite.getWidth())/2;
starty=(h-sprite.getHeight())/2;
sprite.setPosition(startx,starty);
sprite.defineReferencePixel(WIDTH/2, 0);
On my 8100 model the Sprite behaives correctly, staying in it's position and reloading the next frame on time.
On the 8800 the sprite tiles accross the screen, each frame occuping a new area on the screen. I just reloaded the latest firmware for the 8800 from tmobile ad when that didn't help I installed the very latest from blackberry as instructed here:

Does anyone have any input?
