Default unlocking tech question

Please Login to Remove!

Someone wants to buy my old 9630 phone was a telus cdma

I purchased an unlock code. they sent me an email with mep2 code and mep4 code.

I thought I followed instructions, I went to sim card menu typed in mep2 and entered code. it says accepted, which as far as I know that is good. Now what about this mep4? no place to enter that.

The person who wants my phone would like to use it on Bell which is cdma as well. I would like to be assured he will be able to do this, I don't want to waste the guys time and energy if I can help it. Everything I try to do on the phone right now has telus all over it. Even though it is not actually activated. I am just confused and my head hurts from searching and most of my searches get me more unlock guys. this whole cdma, hspa gsm is making me nuts. I should have just sold the phone as locked to telus and be done with it, hope I didn't make it unusable

They won't be able to use a Telus branded 9630 on Bell. Unlocking only refers to the GSM side of the device not to the CMDA side.

Sell it to someone on Telus or Rogers or Fido.

I had him call bell to check as he didn't want to take my word for it, I guess I was offering a pretty good deal he didn't want to pass up.
