Default Opera Mini 4 beta on T-Mobile

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys,

Just switched over to a T-Mobile 8800 from my 8100, love it so far. However, my Opera Mini 4 Beta won't work...I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and I've tried setting my APN to wap.voicestream.com, as I did on my Pearl 8100. Still, no luck. The configuration wouldn't work right, and when I try to open the browser again, it goes to a blank screen, says "Processing," and never finishes. Any idea what's wrong?

I'm having similar "recent" issues on my 8830 through VZW. It used to work, but now it doesn't.

Anyone know how to delete modules?

I'm trying to delete and reinstall it through the desktop manager instead of OTA. When I try to delete it, it just gives me the option to "remove" or "downgrade", and when I try to "remove," it won't go away. When I try to find the "modules" in the desktop manager, it gives me a number for the installed version (2.3.0.54), but the module name comes up blank. When I try to look through the modules in Options/Applications/Modules, I can't find any unnamed modules. Anyone have any idea? I'm thinking this may be caused from my "Switch Device" from a Pearl to an 8800...

Uninstall it by going under Options/Applications and highlight it and choose Menu delete. It's the easiest way.

Then download the ZIP from the Opera Mini site, expand it, point the DM software to the place you extracted it to and load it up.

That's the thing. Even when I delete it in Options/Applications, the same thing happens - the same stalworth downgrade/remove options show up, and the same results on the Blackberry occur. It's some mystery module or something. When I try to load up the version from my comp, it says "No new applications were found for your device" or something like that.

Under advice from T-Mobile, I tried to wipe the handheld; it didn't erase any third-party apps at all! It only deleted various settings and data that I had. wtf...

Same thing happened to me except I was in the Opera Mini browser and my BB freezes entirely. I would have to turn it on and off.

The issue was fixed simply by updating to the newest firmware.
