Default OS 4.2.222 & Calendar Issues

Please Login to Remove!

Since recently upgrading to OS 4.2.2.222 I have no more Calendar entries anymore on my BlackBerry. I was surprised to see my entire Calendar empty! They were there after the upgrade now they just disappeared. I am on the road for the weekend and not the office so I can't sync my BlackBerry and my notebook only has Outlook Express not Outlook so no Calendar there to sync to.

I tried to restore my device from a backup I did previous to the OS update and still I see no calendar events. I removed the CICAL service books and rebooted so see if that helped but no help either.

How can I get my Calendar events to show? Anyone have any ideas??? It's not a BES issue I know coz I am a BIS user.

If you look in calendar options does it show 0 entries? If so, it's a known issue in older versions that was assumed to have been fixed in that version since it was later than the list of known affected versions.

Edit: Actually--Sorry, you said they were there but just disappeared on their own? I don't recall that being a known issue. Can you restore from the automatic loader backup file made when you upgraded?

If I open up desktop mananger and go to advanced in the left I can see a numeric value for Calendar Options on the right I see nothing. I moved the Calendar options over to the handheld in the advanced menu options but still I see none on my BlackBerry at all.

What about under "Calendar?" That's where the entries are.

When I open advanced I see Calendar and Calendar Options on the left. The Calendar field has no numeric value but the Calendar Options field has a numeric value.

Update:

I also brough my Mac notebook with me and I remembered that on my iMac I tried a program called PocketMac a while back so I installed it onto my Mac Notebook and performed a sync and now I have a functioning calendar on my BlackBerry Curve.

I'm fixed but I'm just crious how my Calendar just disappeared or what caused that issue. I know I had the Calendar alert issues before the 4.2.222 OS update but to correct that I deleted the CICAL service books. After the OS update the Calendar alerts worked w/ the CICAL service books and my Calendar entries were all there but then just like that they went away. I'm just glad I brought my Mac notebook on my trip also otherwise I'd have to wait until Tuesday morning when I get back to Sync my BlackBerry to a computer that has Outlook on it.

I suggest doing a backup now and see if the calendar database backs up.
