Default BBM Groups issue - could it be V6.1.0.49?

Please Login to Remove!

I downloaded this version a couple of days ago and I am having a problem. I have to say that I am not completely sure it is related to the new version, but it is when I started experiencing the issue so I'm going with V6.1.0.49 as the culprit for now.

I created a BBM group with 12 members and this is what's happening:

- 5 of them can only see my messages in the group chat and only see the 2 of us as members of the group. Also, they see me as "unavailable".
- the other 7 can see each other and me, as well as all our messages but not the 5 above or their messages.

So, one of the 5 "renegades" created a separate "test" group and invited me, to see if the creator of the group is the issue... I see all of them, see the conversation in the chat, they see me as member of the group but don't see my messages when I post. I am a ghost in that group even though I see everything! also, they see each other fine and their conversations.
I invited one of the 7 from the original group, and she can see everyone in the new "test" group (including me), everyone can see her, she sees all messages (including mine) and everyone see her messages. She's ok.

The "group of 5" thinks is me that is having the issues and after many tests I am starting to believe that is true... however, I am puzzled by the fact that the other 7 are prefectly ok with regards to communicating with me via BBM groups, no matter what group it is or who created it.
The other groups i created many many months ago are ok, all members see me and I see them all.

anyone else has experienced an issue like this before?

That 5 that are having difficulties, are they using an older version of BBM. Maybe with the enhancements it's causing some issues with older versions of BBM.

Thanks. I'll ask them.
However, many of the "group of 7" have older versions and are still ok.
But at this point any tests are useful.

How old of a version are the non-functional group using. It's possible they are using a very antiquated version that may not be working with the new BBM.

In one of my groups, there are 9 of us, and the group admin has to manually re-add myself and another person on a regular basis. He only occasionally receives our message.

I have 6.1.0.25, which was a beta version when it was released, so i'm assuming it's a version problem. I'll upgrade the administrator's bbm tomorrow to see if this is the issue.
