When I connected my set for the first time for updates using my pc, my sms service now does not recognize other sms sent from anyone else but reflects the name of first sender all sms sent from the phone will go to the first sender.now I have to delete all sms to receive or sent to others. Sounds like you didn't get it reactivated with the server after the install. I would try doing that and resending all your service books

Call your cell carrier and have them reactivate the device with a BB data plan and resend the service books.

Might try a battery pull first, just to see what that does.
