Default Bold on Vodafone UK

Please Login to Remove!

I have a bold device on Vodafone network. It seems to crash and reboot. I have done a new firmware upgrade to approved version 4.6.0.235 but no luck, device still reboots. I removed the memory card in the slot, however the device will crash and reboot 4-5 times a day whilst reading emails.

Any suggestions.

It reboots with or without the media card, correct?

I would try a replacement battery.

Is the battery perhaps just lossing connection?
with the bold on, shake it about in your hand and see if it reboots.
if it does, take a business card and tape it into the inside of the back cover.

Battery seems to work fine...I have tried another bold battery in the device.

The device is running on 2G & 3G network mode, auto on/off disabled as well

It still crashes with or with out Media card being inserted.

oh to add, I have done the Hard reset and Quick pull .. nothing seems to help

someone else on a different network had a similiar problem and has found switching to 2G only has corrected the problem for now.

You could try it and see.

Yeah, switch to 2g only and it should solve your problems.
