Not natively from the device. I believe there is/are applications available to do this though

You can block numbers from sending you SMS messages directly from your BB, but they can still reach you by calling.

If you have T-Mobile, you can ask them for "Family Allowances". This allows you to block up to 10 numbers from calling and texting. If they call or text, they'll get a message saying that the subscriber is no longer in service.
