I just got a T-Mobile 8900 and immediately upgraded to .231, so I never seriously checked the various folders. I find that I now have a Telnav icon in my Downloads folder. I didn't have it before, don't subscribe and really dont want it (I use Mapquest which works fine). I don't see it in the list of installed apps. How do I remove it?

Also, while I am at it, how do I get the phone to shut the screen off when I charge it rather than display the clock. I would prefer to save the screen (backlights do fail and I don't need the clock). Can I just get the screen to blank out? Thanks.

go to the clock icon, click menu - options
then change the "when charging: " options to "do nothing"

Telnav icon is a service book pushed to your device by the carrier. Can't get rid of it. Its only a link to download it, its not really the program. Just menu click on the icon and hide. That would deal with it so you don't have to see it. For the clock, go into the clock options and under the option when charging, select do nothing
