YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER!!!!!!!!!!
I can't thank you enough, and let me explain the big issue behind my massive satisfaction.
I purchased my BB via an auction similar to ebay and i was happy because I followed the tips from this forum and I was sure I was not buying a fox instead of a rabbit (((chuckles))), but because safety comes first and I always think defencive (the BB could bring some spyware installed) I formated my Berry as advised to start fresh, and installed the latest OS, everything was great and the only thing that was not to my taste was my number anonymity untill this very afternoon when I tried to call someone out of my carrier for the first time the auto operator message said the number you dialed is incorrect, please try again(!?!!).... How come?! I imported my numbers from the SIM card and they have always worked fine
. I already called other people and had no problem, so I retried and the same... I tried another one and the same... I tried another and it was ok (lolol). I was completely baffled, if my handset was not IMEI blacklisted why wasnt I able to call some numbers and others I could completely random regarding the carrier... I was ready to go to a cell phone shop and see if it was damaged, or the software was defective... Untill just a few moments ago when I read your repply and entered the call log menu to change the ID restrictions and I checked up all the other options and stumbled into the Smart Dial sub option(I'm translating from portuguese to English, so the real option name can be different) and discovered that the country code and numbers lenght were incorrect, all I had to do was change them and all is fine now ;) no more incorrect number calls
Call log > options > "smart dial" = changed country code + national numbers lenght
Thank you so much!!!!
Hope this can help others.
P.S.: the only thing I find odd is why did some numbers worked fine and others did not... anyway problem solved!!!!
