So far I like it. It definitely has a nice professional finish to is. I have some parts of a BSE on it and it is snug. Although I am sure that with time the leather will stretch. my ideal goal would be to have it in there with a OEM gel skin on it. On each side there is an indent for the trackball so you can insert it face in or face out. The clip is a definite improvement over previous BB cases.

Be aware that your BSE may turn dark over time from the case. I did the same thing, though. I added the InvisibleShield to the battery cover and the buttons/earpiece over the display. Then added a different screen protector as I don't like the BSE/InvisibleShield for a screen protector...Then I either throw it in my pocket with or without the rubber skin or put it in my 8320 OEM leather holster.

Nice case, I'm still on the fence as to which case I will purchase. Does this case have the "active holstering" abilities built in?

If you mean by active holstering the sleep mode. Yes it does have the magnets in the case that throw the phone into holster mode. It is an OEM case so it has that feature. John did you use this 8900 case and had the black problem or was it with another BB model? Also were u able to get it to fit in the case with a silicone skin on it?

I haven't used this particular case. However, I've seen it with all the previous oem cases. They turn the BSE's dark over time. I can fit my 8900 into the 8300 case with the silicone skin.

John, when you place it is the 8300 case with the skin on it does it still enable the sleeper function?
