Question 7105 - Can only make emergency calls

Please Login to Remove!

All of a sudden last night I tried to make a call and the phone says emergency calls only. And I can't receive incoming calls nor indicates I have vc msg. Doesn't even let me know the phone is ringing.

The phone was not locked. I had good signal strength.

On another problem: I don't rec text msg's at all. I hav $99 plan with TMobile.

It has been like this since last night about 10pm. Please help.

Welcome to the forums.

Are you on a company BES? An IT policy can prevent the phone from being used.

Did you pay your bill? It sounds like your carrier has cut you off. Law dictates that you have the ability to dial emergency numbers even if you've been shut off. I can't think of anything local (on the device) that would cause that.

Edit: Yes a BES setting could cause your device to behave this way. But your "all of a sudden" comment seems inconsistent with this value being changed... especially late at night when most BES admins are counting sugar plums...

Take your SIM out and put it back in.
