Default Possible to direct missed calls to a folder other than "Messages"?

Please Login to Remove!

Since I'm using BES MailBox and separating SMS and MMS, I'd like to hide the Messages icon. However, although voicemails notifications go to my SMS and MMS icon, missed call notifications go to the Messages folder. So, I don't want to hide it as I would miss those notifications. Any way around this?

Nope. They will only go to 'Messages', Call Log, or no place at all.

Man, Blackberry has some serious issues with message handling. Thanks!

For all. If they are going to send all messages to the messages folder, they need to provide a way to distinquish among them ALL without having to open each individual message.

No, not for all. You certainly don't speak for everyone and it's amazingly egotistical to think that your way is the best way for all.

If you think RIM should change things to make them more suitable to your particular usage style, then suggest that to them here: [email address]

When did I ever say that?

So Soup, your way is the best? That's pretty narrow minded to think your way is the best for all.

No, my non-understanding friend, not my way.
It's RIM's way, which is why I suggested to the OP that they contact RIM if they feel such functionality should be altered.

I don't have a way of my own. I use the device the way RIM designed it. If I'm unhappy with some functionality, I would suggest a change to the designer/manufacturer.
In this particular case, I am pleasantly content with the way all messages are handled by the BlackBerry device.
I see no particular reason for a change.

I do, however, think it's out of line for the OP to suggest that message handling is flawed "For All" (their quote).
It's certainly not flawed for me, and last I checked, I'm part of the "All" group as a BlackBerry user.

Soup, point taken. I stand corrected.

Oh, isn't there 3rd party software that will allow you to "View" your voicemail? Maybe check that out Patrick.

That's right, YouMail. I couldn't think of it, and was too lazy to Google it. There you go Patrick, it costs money, but if it's that important to you, I hear YouMail works pretty well.

Default Alt V

In the messages folder, I hit alt + V and then I get a voicemail messages list but there's never anything listed there so I guess the function isn't active. But since the function is there, maybe something is in the works for a later OS?

Go to OPTIONS, CALL LOGGING, and disable. No more calls in your message folder, only in the call log.

That doesn't work for me. PHONE OPTIONS>CALL LOGGING>NONE selected (options missed calls, all calls, none). Missed calls still show up in the Message folder. Annoying!

I don't really see the point in enabling Call Logging. If you want to see recent calls then hit the green/send button.

you're right, it's probably theme controlled. you can disable that also. I'm not exactly sure where though, I know I've seen it. I'll try and find it and get back.
