Very ignorant of mobiles and have been looking recently at the Pearl 8120 for use in the UK .
Unlocked at £135 .
My needs are one light mobile phone use on PAYG about £5s worth a year on current usage .Occasional web browsing that does not come with a high price tag nor a use by date . Email is not really needed . Occasional map use without the need for driving instructions . Small amount of calender and contacts data .
MP3 not really needed .
8120 is not 3G so i miss out on the T Mobile package .
I get the impression that i am looking at to much phone for what i want .
Grateful for any thoughts or recommendations from experienced Blackberry users .

web browsing will cost you at no more than £1 PER DAY. i.e you browse for 4 hours one day and are charged £1, the next day you browse for 5 minutes and pay £1.

Maps will be a different matter, because to get the maps to work you need data. Im not sure this will fall under their internet data or not.

Thanks Virgin ( who i am with now ) phoned me up and stated internet access is 30p a Day for any day used download capped at 25MB per day .Have to see how it goes in practice .
Ended up not been given Blackberry due to miscommunication ( received Nokia 5800 ) .
