Default new to BB a few question

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I am switching for the sidekick. I actually really miss the keyboard on the sidekick. But it has only been 1 day so I am hoping that I will get used to the BB over time.

My company does not have an enterprise server. Instead they do something so that emails are sent from me and I get emails but I also get dupicates in the office. My question is on the sidekick I needed to delete old emails . What about the BB? Do I have to delete the emails or will they just delete automatically as needed?

Re the battery, Should I run it out the first few days to condition it or is that not necessary.

Re: Bluetooth. Does it use more battery life?

I have the h500 blue tooth headset. A bunch of people told me that can't hear me well I sound garbeled. In addition is sounds to me like everyone can hear so much backround noise. Is this the H500 or is there a setting on it. Or should I retun the h500 for something better?

Thats it for now but I am sure I will have more Q's

I assume you are on BIS? If so, you should delete the email from the BB once you are finished with them, especially since they are also on your office PC.

From what I know about the BB batteries, you don't need to condition them. Some people still say you need to power cycle these lithium batteries, but I am not convinced that helps.

Which BB do you have? You may want to try a different BT headset. I use the Motorola HS605 and 850 and the Jabra BT250v. They all seem to work well and I haven't had many complaints about noise.

Not sure what BIS is? My company set it up for me. I am not linked to my outlook in my office. Meaning if I delete from the BB it will not delete my office email.

If I need to delete a bunch of emails how do I do it. Do I have to do it one at a time?

deleting email on both is an option you can set but i would not unless your sure you dont want a copy left on the server.

you can delete multiple messages by holding the CAP key and rolling the wheel to highlight messages then hit delete

you can also roll to the date seperator and press the wheel and you will see an option to delete previous

From what you've said it sounds like you do. If you're not on BES then yes.

No -- it's Li ion.

Yes. How much depends on your usage but just enabling it will reduce battery life a bit.

Personally, I've never liked the performance of the Motorola BT headsets that I have tried. I liked the folding boom of the HS810 and 850 but callers complained about not being able to hear me (typical if you read the reviews). I recommend the Plantronics Voyager 510 but with BT headsets you have to not only factor in performance but comfort which is highly subjective. Check out the BT and BBF reviews forums here.

I made it after seeing several posts at a few forums asking about it so I decided to make it.

Thanks for all of your feedback.

Also I went to mobile.blackberry.com and could not find the zen theme. Anyone know where I can find it?
