Thumbs down Email setup application

Please Login to Remove!

Hello everybody need some suggestions on this problem:

I am using a blackberry from ATT with another carrier outside USA

I had the email setup application icon in the setup folder but despite of having configured my BIS account on my carrier's bb website I could not log in ...... maybe it was trying to log into ATT's site...who knows.. kept saying wrong username/password.

I reinstalled the OS from my carrier, but now I don't have the Email Setup Icon, I can't install it via apploader cuz it says the app is not compatible with the device.

Why do I need it , cuz I want to use the gmail's contact sync with the BB and it's requiring me to use such app to validate my request.

I think the problem resides in the branding of the phone , in this case ATT.

I also thought it was a service book which I confirmed it is NOT.

the file is called BISThickClient.alx

located (in my case) in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9700M_v5.0.0.351_P5.1.0.98

this is driving me mad cuz I can't use this feature of gmail (yes I know there is an app called google sync but I don't wanna use it)

Thanks.

I think the problem is related to the vendor id, it must be changed via pirated software in order to work...

I doubt that it is due tot he vendor ID. Ad we do not discuss pirated software at all.

Do you have a BB data plan your current carrier? If so, you might need to make sure the device is registered. on their network.

Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > then menu key > click register

Try logging in on the correct BIS site for your carrier.
