Default Boy Genius dead wrong on 4.5?

Please Login to Remove!

So BGR originally said 4.5 would drop in Sept. GSM models all have 4.5, no official CDMA release yet. Will we see a CDMA release in the next 10-12 days ?

and unfortunately att is prolly waiting to release the bold to release the 4.5 code for its devices. it frustrates me how att is making us wait so long for both. even tho im running 4.5 code, i wish they'd at least release their official version to calm my ocd so i'm using their official release and so i can begin putting it on my end users devices.

I thought AT&T was rumored to drop it like September 25th, give or take a few days?

Yes, rumored, not announced.

And there is now even some debate on that date, as the Bold won't release until Oct 2, so ATT could wait until then or later.

Sheesh. Well, I'm still interested to see what 4.5.0.xx they end up putting out there, either way.

I'm surprised at how little people read the original question.

I acknowledged the GSM code has been released. I asked how likely it would be that we would see a CDMA release before month's end.

Take a breath, count to 10, read.

There are officially released versions for the 8130 and the 8330. Just not your device (or mine), the 8830.

Ah that I didn't know, but just read on the forum. Hopefully it will be released soon - that said my 8330 arrives Monday

Default what? When?

I don't remember GSM phones having 4.5 officially released in the U.S. AT&T doesn't have it out. What about CDMA? Verizon Wireless or Sprint? Where is there anything official?

AT&T hasn't released anything but mulitple carriers have officially released 4.5 that's where most of us have gotten it and are happy with it. Check the sticky threads at the top of your model forum for the latest available.

Can you point me to an official release of 4.5 for the curve (8330)? the 8300 forum only points to 4.3 as the latest OS

You are right, I believe 4.5 has been pulled back for the 8330.

Default Any Word on 4.5 OS for T Mobile?

I have a feeling that with the Android taking up all the press, any further BB OS releases are going to take a backseat anyway.

Default 9/24/08: T Mobile Rep: "NO Immediate Plans to Release 4.5"

I just spoke with a T Moble rep on the phonoe and she said that, as far as she knows, T Mobile has NO plans to release OS 4.5 for their users 'anytime soon,' due to certain 'issues' involved and she even 'unofficially' suggested I 'Google' it if I want to dowload it.

Thanks for nothing, T Mobile--why am I not surprised?
