Smile Is there any advantage to using the TMO version of O/S

Please Login to Remove!

I am a TMO customer. I have an unlocked ATT Torch 8900. Is there any advantage to using the TMO UK version of 8900 Torch O/S found at the TMO UK website?

Has anyone tried it or would I just be waisting my time. I do not know if the TMO O/S has better support for the TMO network. I am sure it wont fix the lack of 3G.

Blackberry

Thanks!

No advantage that I know of. And you are right about 3G.

See the latest OS sticky thread for your model if you are interested. But if what you have is working and you are happy, there's a good argument to be made for leaving well enough alone.

First of all, we really need to know which device you have. You posted in the 9800 section. Your profile says 8900. And your post says 8900 Torch. The Torch is the 9800. Which device do you really have?

You can use any OS from any carrier in your BB, as log as it is for your specific model number. The OS is developed by RIM.
