Yahoo On Blackberry
Please Login to Remove!
Hi. I have been having trouble since last night, about 8:30p.m. (New York time) sending yahoo e-mails from my blackberry. I try to send it & immediately, a big red 'X' comes back & says "general failure." HOWEVER, the person that I am sending the e-mail to, is receiving it. What is going on? Is it a Yahoo problem, BB problem, server problem? HELP?

Re: Yahoo On Blackberry
If the person is receiving it, then I would imagine it is a BB issue. Have you tried removing your battery?

Re: Yahoo On Blackberry
I have removed the battery several times...I thought it might be a BB issue also, but when I send an email from my gmail account, it is fine. ?

Re: Yahoo On Blackberry
I would try resending service books. If that doesn't work, remove the Yahoo account and the re-add it.

Re: Yahoo On Blackberry
I had Metro PCS (my provider) re-send the service books & removed the battery several times & removed the e-mail address several times; do you think it could be the device at all??

Re: Yahoo On Blackberry
I would also try resending service books and see what happens. You could also try deleting the yahoo account and then re-adding it.
I have seen this sort of thing with my 9900 but not in a while. I think in my case it was occurring when the signal was weak and in and out.

Re: Yahoo On Blackberry
I'm seeing this now on one of my ISP accounts that is hosted by Yahoo. Same error, General Failure. Either BIS or Yahoo, or combination. Not you.

Re: Yahoo On Blackberry
I experimented and on about the 6th or 7th resend I finally get a check mark. But as with the OP, the messages are being received, despite the red x. Nothing to do but wait it out.

Re: Yahoo On Blackberry
This may be a congested network issue. When an email is sent the blackberry expects an receiver acknowledgment for the packets. If one or more is dropped you will see a red X .
