Default How do you send pics

Please Login to Remove!

I've been trying to send a picture to another smart phone (moto q) from my phone (curve 8310) Is there any way to send it in as I would a text. Click on the pic and click send? I know that way has not worked yet. Any info would be helpful. I'm a rookie as you can tell...

I send pictures to other phones using two methods... Attach the image to an email, or send via MMS.

Launch the Camera App. Menu>View Pictures, select your picture, open the menu again Send as Email or Send as MMS.

Can you give more detail on what happens when it does not go through? Does it send fine, but is not received on the other phone, does it not send, etc ?

When I send as a MMS it brings me back to the sending screen and puts the "target" sign beside the receiver and after a minute the X takes the place of the target.

How large is the picture? MMS does have a limit. Not sure what that is off the top of my head.

Do you have MMS available to your account? I believe the 'X' icon means the message failed or was rejected. I would suggest you call your carrier to confirm you are able to send MMS.

Just because you took it with your Curve doesn't necissarily mean its a small file. In good lighting, large size, superfine quality, you can get some fairly large file sizes for images. They pics look like the size of your screen on the BB, but if you load it into a pc its really much larger.

300KB is the usual MMS file size limit. Contact your carrier to find out what their limit is.

My provider is US Cellular and I keep getting the run around from them. The pics that I try to send are 65 and 85 kb. They are trying to tell me you can't mms you can only email pics, any truth to that?

I was able to email my pics and I used the mms to send a voice memo.
