Ok, here is the question. I set up my Blackberry through the BIS to check my GMail (I have BIS 2.0 so it is not setup for the push yet).

ANYWAY

On my Blackberry desktop I have an icon for my BIS (username@sprint.blackberry.net) and I have a SEPERATE icon for gmail (account@gmail.com). The icon is an envelope with a blue arrow point down for each of them. I setup my friends BB to do the same thing, but he doesn't have the icons with the blue arrows pointing down.

Was this icon (for each e-mail account) a feature of OS 4.1? I believe it was but I am looking for definite confirmation.

Hopefully this makes sense.

We are both with the same provider (Nextel) which is BIS 2.0, I have the icon and he doesn't, so I don't think that is it.

What's the OS version of his BB? If it's 4.1, just resend the service books from BIS.

That is what I am asking. He is not 4.1... Are those icons a feature of 4.1? I think he has 4.0...

Bump him up to 4.1 and find out if your assumption holds true.

Indeed. That's an option...though some have been frustrated with the switch to 4.1 if they have a 72XX device...which is my assumption. However, I haven't had a 4.0 device since BIS 2.0 came to Cingular, so it's tough to tell.
