Default BIS Online issue: Deletion of Emails

Please Login to Remove!

Hello everyone,

I'm on a BIS plan with my provider (Optus, Australia.) I have no idea what BIS version they're running but in anycase, when I log in all my emails are still there, unread, even if deleted from my BB. I can't delete the emails or even move them on the BIS site, as the options for Delete and Move are greyed out.

How do I fix this?

Cheers,

Delete you provider first. Seriously, do you have the check the messages before those buttons work.

Three options in BIS for wireless delete. Two you can set, one your carrier has to set.

Reconciliation options on your handheld in messages under options. Make sure its set to ON and you have delete from mailbox & handheld

Login to your BIS account and ensure Permanent Delete is set to on (Could be in options or settings.. I have 2.0 can't remember). If you have to set this I would consider sending service books at this point and test.

If this still fails call your service provider to verify wireless delete is set to on. It's an option they can control, like attachment viewing.

Also, make sure you're not using delete prior. This will not wirelessly reconcile.

Or something.

As for not being able to delete them on BIS I'm gonna bet you're not using Internet Exploder. As much as we all love Firefox it done work none good well with BIS. Some o dem dere features don't work so gud without IE, like for example, I don't know, delete and move.

Stinsonddog: No idea what you said..

phetish phil: Options for Permanent Delete are on, and such. The Reconcillation options are ON. My guess is it may be the Service provider. Another thing, with the greyed out button, I guess it shows where RIM doesn't support Mac users...

Update: the emails are being deleted.. for the most parts. Seems that some emails just aren't.. odd. Ah well, I'm not too fusssed I guess..

What internet browser are you using? I currently use Firefox and have the same problem. The BIS pages are not set up properly to work with certain browsers other than IE. I just open IE and delete them that way.
