BES 4.1.3

I'm not use MSDE and besmgmt db is on different server. Besuserclientadmin service is installed and I can add a user by cmd line if I use the same user that is starting the service. I tried to set the service using SQL authentication, but I never could get the service to start. Has anyone had any luck with this version of BES and adduser.asp? Here's the error:

besuseradminclient.exe -add -u -b computername -w company -it_policy Default -wt 48 -SQLUSER xxxxx -SQLPASS xxxxx

Hi.

I've had the error before, and found two possible causes..

1) Have you given the SQLUSER username your using a role in the BES Admin console Role Adminstration tab?

2) If you have, are you using the latest resource kit? What version have you got?

Thanks for the reply. I was able to correct the problem by giving the sql user access via enterprise manager. I don't know how I missed this step. Thanks again.
