Greetings all:
I just bought an 07 Pontiac Torrent that has a 3.5 MM CD/AUX input jack designed to allow your IPOD, MP3 player etc to play thru the car audio system.
I would like to connect my BB Pearl 8100 into this port and use it handsfree in the car. Is this possible? The Pearl has a 2.5MM output. Where can I get a 3.5 to 2.5 cable to try this.
What about a microphone function - if the cable works and I mount the BB on the dash, will the built-in mic be sensitive enough to pick up my voice when using handsfree?
Any help or suggestions appreciated.

For hands-free function I suggest something like this: Blackberry Source.com - BlackBerry Visor Mount Speakerphone
The built-in speakerphone feature may or may not be able to pick up your voice clearly. It depends on ambient noise, placement, and the mounting system. A bluetooth solution is much better. Even a wired earpiece with microphone would work.
