Default Question of Curiosity

Please Login to Remove!

I am currently a Verizon Wireless customer that spends most of my time in a extended network zone for Verizon. I have a Storm 2. I was just curious if there was a way that I can use my phone on someone else's 3G or equivalent network without changing providers. Pretty much can I use my Verizon phone on someone else's 3G network not just the extended network.

Default Re: Question of Curiosity

You can only roam onto other CDMA networks with which Verizon has roaming agreements, or onto EDGE speed networks for GSM if Verizon has an agreement with another carrier. I do not think they do in North America. The only GSM 3G band on the Storm 2 is the 2100MHz band for European carriers.

You can roam onto Sprint's 3G network as they have an agreement with Verizon.
