after pushing OK
"says I have to turn off "Mute Button" then it/screen goes blank...

Where is the Mute button...or is there a trick?

Don't know about the message. Try a hard rest. That is, with the power on, remove the battery for at least 30 seconds. See if that fixes things.

The mute button is probably on the top end of the device on one side or the other. But if you can't find it you can always download the manual online.
