Default IT Policy not working

Please Login to Remove!

We have the IT Policy set to True for Password Required and False for User can disable password on the BES. Yet when I set up the new devices the device does not ask to set up the password ( I force it through the set password and lock handled on the BES) and the user still has the ability to go in options/passwords on the device to disable the required password.

I am new to the administration of the BES and I am still trying to learn how all the IT Policy rules work. Am I missing a step some where?

When you activate the new device, do you assign it the IT Policy at that time?

My understanding is that it is set up that way. I will double check on that.

If you did not assign the correct policy, you could add your changes to the default policy so you do not forget in the future. Up to you. Also, when you push a policy you'll need to wait the default 15 min. on the process unless you change that setting in the BAS. You can see this change updated when you view the tasks on that particular user. Good luck.
