Question not just unlock: system access?

Please Login to Remove!

OK, here's a stumper for all you smarty-pants that like to mess with your phones: I want access to the system files and folders on my 9530.

Yes, I do realize there is risk, but trust me, I'm not foolish enough to try modifying any of the code or settings!

What I am after is the log files. Specifically the contents of SMS and MMS messages that are unavailable by any other means I have found.

NO, I am NOT satisfied with backing them up through the supplied software. I want RANDOM ACCESS to these files through a USB link so I can upload them to my PC.

This has to be a solution that is independent of a Windows operating system!

Anybody?

Wouldn't that sorta defeat the whole purpose of RIM's impenetrable security?

Call RIM and tell them what you would like to do. I hear they are very understanding and have no problems telling people how to hack into their devices. Honest. I wouldn't lie.

That's an interesting suggestion, but I have already talked to both Verizon and somebody at RIM, the upshot of which has been: "That's not a user-accessable folder". None of the several company folks I talked to gave any hint that an exception was either possible or even reasonable.

That's because what I said earlier wasn't honest, and it was a lie. It was also sarcastic. So let me rephrase what I said earlier: You're not going to get the results you are looking for with this project of yours.

How about using Javaloader -u wipe

That certainly would work.

</sarcasm> - CT - use this at your own risk.

The point you should be getting from all this is that it can't be done. End of story. Move along.

You want to copy stuff.. Right.
Perhaps there are other forums out there that will be more helpful.
