Hi, i'm going today to purchase my first blackberry. I was planning on getting a curve and my friend who works there doesn't know much but found a used one for $100 off but now that I was looking at all the different blackberrys I see there is an 8300 8310 8320 8330 and 8350i. Now i'm extremely confused of which to get. So any advice would be appreciated. and if you could point me in the right direction to some cool things to get for free like themes and ringtones and apps because I don't know much or what sites to trust.

Your profile says your provider is Verizon... that means that you MUST use an 8330... the 8310 and 8320 are GSM devices and the 8350i is an iDen (Nextel) device.

The 8330 is a CDMA device.

Get your 8330 Curve from Verizon...not from a third party, if you want to ensure you won't have any issues. Buying a used 8330 Curve may be fine, but you're opening yourself up to getting BB that may have problems, that Verizon won't warranty, etc.

Very funny. She doesn't know much about the phones. I personally would rather a bold if she coudl get it but it seemed too much strain to figure out what I was saying.
