Default Questions from a first time user.

Hey guys.

I just activated my 8330 Curve today. I am a complete first time user, I have not had any BB phones and this is my first one. I heard a lot of great things about the BB line of phones, so I thought I'd give this a try.

So as expected, I'm confused by some things, and just have some general questions. I know, every good device takes some time and experience to get used to.

Firstly, I was wondering if you had to pre install some applications, such as the instant messaging (yahoo, msn, aim..) because I cannot seem to find them on my phone. This includes my Sprint TV, GPS, and Sprint Store applications. I can't seem to find them. Any ideas?

Secondly, I'm aware that we can't recieve MMS messages from other people without doing the whole GO-TO link process. And I'm wondering how do you view these messages. Because, well, since I can't find the browser,.. ahh you know.. Also, how do you set ring tones for incoming text messages, sms messages, etc.

And Thirdly, where is a good place I can find applications such as games, custom programs, themes, etc. I'm probably thinking I'll find a good instant messaging application there.

Thanks~

blackberryfaq.com
go there and read through as much as possible, and use the search feature in the forum. Once you have exhausted those resources, try asking again, but I can guarantee you all of those questions have been answered many many times.

Good luck and welcome to the forums!

Yahoo, gmail, and aim are pre-installed on sprint's 8330. If you didn't all ready, you should sign up for sprint's "simply everything" plan. $99 a month for completely unlimited use. Sprint TV is under "entertainment", you
have to agree to terms before it can be used. You'll find the sprint store there too.GPS is the little icon that looks like a little road, that too has to be set up before it can be used. Hope this helped!
