I can only get edge on mobile network. VPN and everything's set up correctly. So I can't get email or internet on mobile network, only when i'm on wifi. It's been like this for 2 weeks. Resent the service books. Reregistered with BIS. BIS won't connect via mobile network. Anyone else have problems with this? Any way to fix it? Thanks.

I just did a handheld wipe and EDGE came back. Does anyone know what causes this?

I had this issue in the past. Per 2 techs at AT&T this is typically caused by one tower causing issue with the authentication of your phone on the network. A battery pull or a "forced release" from the carrier fixes the problem.

In my case I stayed on 'edge' for approx. 15 hours, and a battery pull worked immediately.
