SMS messages - show in reverse chronological order

This is an embarrassingly basic question, but I've searched this and other forums without finding an answer. Currently (on my BB Curve 8520) the messages within each of my SMS "chats" are shown in chronological order i.e. with the oldest first. Unsurprisingly I want them in reverse chronological order so that the most recent is at the top of the list and I don't have to go anywhere to see new messages.
I've seen suggestions of using keypad shortcuts to navigate to the top or bottom of the list or to find the next unread message, but those are really just clunky work-arounds - all I want is to be able to list the messages in the natural order.
On a related issue, is it possible to dis-aggregate chats so that each session with a given person is shown separately (again, in reverse chronological order) rather than all being collected together?
