Default Password locations in ipd file

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

First time poster. I'm sorry if I'm not doing something correctly but I'm in a blind rage over trying to get passwords from an ipd file into something that's plain text readable. This is for a client of my firm who's blackberry was stolen. He's decided to go with an android after the event and he forgot all of his passwords for his accounts that he's loaded up on his 9300 bold touch. Is there any way that I can view the passwords for programs: i.e. email and some other odd programs. I've tried abc amber view with no avail as well as loading the ipd into an emulator of the same model phone. Either way isn't showing me any passwords. I even briefly looked over the ipd file in notepad to try and see if it's just displayed there. (I knew that wouldn't work but worth a shot). Anyways, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You can't recover any passwords using the .ipd backup file.

how do you recommend that I recover the files. I can load it into an emulator but that's the best I can do.

If you haven't removed the user's BES account, then you can activate a new BlackBerry handheld for that user and the contents of the password keeper app will re-populate on the new device.
That data is backed up on BES by way of its wireless backup feature.

What if I have an emulator of the phone? Would that work?

I didn't see anywhere where the OP mentions Password Keeper...nor does he mention BES in the 1st post either...so I will ask...

Which passwords are you looking for specifically? The e-mail account sign-on passwords? Password Keeper password?
