Default MP3 Audio files don't play

Please Login to Remove!

I need help. In transferred over 300 songs from Windows Media Player to the BB player and have something like 60 songs that don't play. The following message pops up:

" The media being played is of an unsupported format".

I went back to my PC and some of them played allright with the Windows Media Player. So I was wondering why they wouldn't play in the BB player.

I also did a search in the Forums and the only thing that comes ups is the same message but for people that video problems.

It seems to me this is not a "media" issue but "audio" but that is the message I get. If anybody has not clues I will appreciate.

Thanks

make sure that they are not wma or something, right click on the file and go to properties to see the exact format, it might not be mp3's

Thanks Vandal but they are all MP3 files I already checked. I have feeling the BB Roxio Player is not compatible with some of these files. Perhaps someone can shed more light on this problem,

Tks

Adjust the name of mp3's.. for example some mp3's come singer_song .. change it to singer - song.. see if that makes a difference, worth a shot.

All the MP3 files are in the singer-song format.... I have a feeling is the Media Player cause some of these I can play with Window Media Player .

thanks..

Just for Sh*ts and Giggles you could try taking one of the songs that won't play, renaming it to a song that WILL Play and let the BB overwrite it and see what happens. If it plays, that would mean its something in the "Input" thats causing errors (Name, Title Length, Characters, Etc) If it dosen't play, your back to square 1. Nothing Lost, Nothing Gained.

DRM is Digital Rights management.
nutshell: makes the song only playable on the PC/Device you purchase it on. (or rip it on)

many ways around this however...

if you ripped the song in windows media player, check the options and make sure DRM is turned off.

Do a search for ways to get past DRM, you'll find many options.
