It's an excellent build! The .822 sound profiles are fixed! After 1 day of use I had to do a battery pull because the phone was lagging hard when receiving/making a call. After that battery pull I had no problem. battery life is better then the .822 as well.
agreed 1022 is fantastic, no issues so far.
After upgrading from 822 a battery pull was required.
Voice dialing issue is resolved for me, batter life seems better than 822 ... no complaints so far

Upgraded from 822. Been 1 day so far, and what I've been able to test indicates profiles/alerts are indeed fixed. Thank goodness, I was getting death stares from my family & friends because I was constantly missing their calls & texts on the 822 level. I had debating going backwards to 681, but what the heck.
I've been having multiple issues with lockups and hangs
-camera sometimes very slow to respond and sometimes just sits at a black screen and won't take a picture. this normally happens after taking a photo already and trying to take a second one (one thing I do like about my iphone 3gs is how fast it takes consecutive photos)
-bb messenger sometimes slow, had multiple crashes. I'll post error # next time it happens. one crash was when trying to accept a bb msngr request from a contact. I'd hit accept and nothing would happen so I'd switch apps, come back, do it again. after 4 or 5 tries it just crashed
Been almost 2 weeks since I installed 1022. I can now say that it does not fix the issue with alerts not working. I had created a new contact alert with 7 contacts. Sometimes it plays the custom ring tone for that alert, other times it plays the default. Still other times, unless I missed it (ring tone and/or vibrate), it did nothing.
I still think RIM should've left good enough alone at 4.6. I liked being able to create alerts then check (enable) or uncheck (disable) them. When it did work, if I needed to switch to vibrate only, I have to modify the alert.
I haven't noticed any other issues with 1022. The alerts thing has been killing me because I rely on it heavily.
