Default Back of Tour getting extremely warm!

Anyone else find that the bottom, back of the device gets overly warm?

Even when I haven't been actively using it and take it out of the case it seems this way.

That happened to mine the day I got. Hasn't happened since.

Wirelessly posted (AT&T 8100 Pearl)

Mine sure does! It seems from extended use, which for me is normal use.

Also, in an effort not to drain the battery as I listen to my music at my desk, I plug it into the charger while listening. It gets so hot that it crashes my MicroSD card (This playlist contains no valid songs). Once it cools off, it'll find the songs again. So now I top it off, then play music with the charger unplugged. It still gets warm, but not enough to crash the card.

It gets warm while on the phone and browsing the internet. Not during emails or other apps not requiring constand load on the radio.
The heat is on the bottom half, not coming from the battery, but other components. I can really feel it on the external contacts on the back.

Since I'm not alone with this problem and it's worse than my Pearl ever was, I'll contact my salesman about it.

Steve

Definitely agreed.

If you have multiple applications running this could be a major problem which causes your Tour to overheat.

I have the same thing happening on my Tour as well. I could usually get my 8330 to become warm when I downloaded a bunch of podcasts. Seems like the processors are working extra hard.
What will eventually happen to it if the heating up continues?

As long as our BB's don't blow up like the iPhones then I'm good...lol..jk...but yah. Usually if I'm using opera mini or pandora to listen to something at night it gets hot and talking. Like another post said, it usually because the radio is going on constantly.

And to the guy who uses it while charging and it crashes the SD card...DANG!!!! Dude I'd chill on my Tour if its doing that...poor baby... ;)
