Default Application web loader problem

Please Login to Remove!

Hi. Newbie just starting out in blackberry development.

I'm trying to get the application web loader working on our webserver. I've installed the loader on my local machine, and double-clicked on webloader_sample.html (so the url looks like 'c:\programfiles\...'), connected my blackberry and successfully installed the helloWorld sample application.

But when i set this folder up as a virtual directory, and try to run this via either localhost or another webserver, i get the following in Internet Explorer:

Error downloading file. Check your Internet connection and try again.
InternetOpenUrl returned status code 404

Any help would be much appreciated.

Sorry i should clarify:
- i am using the example html code found in 'A70_How_to_Deploy_and_Distribute_Applications_V1. pdf'

- by "trying to run this via localhost or another webserver", i mean that the .htm page renders, and then i receive a popup message box warning me: "This page is attempting to access the Blackberry connected to this computer. Do you want to allow this?" If i click 'yes', the text 'Load' appears on the screen, but when i click it, i receive the error:

"Error downloading file. Check your Internet connection and try again."
and
"InternetOpenUrl returned status code 404"

That doesn't make much sense. A 404 means that you have successfully connected to the server, but the server cannot locate the specific resource that you are requesting.

Better double-check your URL's.

Got it - needed to add a couple of mime types to that virtual directory, and restart IIS.
