I have an 8310 that the trackball broke on several days ago. Just got the new 8900, wanting to do the device switch, but can't even get the 8310 to synchronize - probably because the trackball operation has been so painful that I have nearly 1000 emails I haven't been able to delete as they arrive, so my free memory is down under 2M, even after removing a few large apps.

Is there any way to "mass delete" or wipe just the emails from the device?

Open Messages, press T to go to the top, press the Menu Key, Press D until you get to delete prior, and select delete prior.

Hmm, I don't have "delete prior" as an option. The D key cycles between and two entries starting with "Domain" from my Antair Spam filter. "Delete prior" would be great, but doesn't seem to be there.

That's pretty odd. Are you sure you have a date highlighted and not a message?

You gotta have DELETE PRIOR if you are scrolled to the top most date bar, OR on top of any date bar separator.
