Default BES 4.1.4 on Domino

Please Login to Remove!

I am upgrading our 2 BES Servers tomorrow. Any last minute advise or issues others have ran into?

I did our QA Server 3 weeks ago and there were no issues.

I currently have 4.1.2 running.

I generally follow Best practices for installing a BlackBerry Enterprise Server service pack when applying an SP; I also make sure there is a known good backup from at least the day before.

4.1.2 to 4.1.4 should just be a bunch of Next ... Next ... Done

Make sure you have enough access for updating the SQL db.

If you 2 BES are sharing the same BESMgmt database, bring both offline and upgrade 1st BES first. Then bring the 1st BES up and running and then proceed to upgrade the 2nd BES. If your servers are having their own BESMgmt, then the sequence does not matters.

Finished the upgrade on both servers in less then a hour no issues with the upgrade and everything is up and running.

RIM did a great job with the upgrade.

And yes both BES Servers share the same SQL Database that is running on a separate server. I stopped all services and shutdown Domino did my backup and did one server at a time.
