Default WTK How to delete email add on used 9700?

Please Login to Remove!

I bought a used 9700 and cant figure out how to delete or change the origional owners email add from the phone. I am not using a blackberry account just standard at&t. HELP! Thanks!

If you arnt using a data plan, I wouldn't worry about it too much. But if u want to clear it, options>advanced>service books

In there, delete anything that is an email addy. They restart the berry

With no mail delivery, this will fix you seeing the folders and such. However, to actually wipe them off, you need to log into the BIS and delete the accounts

Then I would do what dan says. You might also do a security wipe to clear all user data from the previous owner as well.

If the service books show up again, then the device is still registered on a data network and you'll have to deal with that.

See the article at blackberryfaq.com regarding buying a blackberry off ebay. It isn't just about ebay, but provides some good advice on buying a used blackberry.

Also get up to speed on the "IT Policy" concept, how to figure out if you have one, and how to remove it. Do a search, and see blackberryfaq.com as well.
