I don't know if this helps or not, but I'm on Mepis 11, and I believe I heard the blue tooth in this kernel was wonky. I know in previous versions I could bluetooth connect with my various BlackBerries & my laptop, but truly in M11 it's hit or miss. I don't know if you have tried it, but I do a lot of what I want with Barry Suite and a data cable! BarrySuite will sync my BB with KDE PIM, contacts & calendar.
