Did you make the headset "discoverable?" I don't have a Moto headset, but in the two I've used so far (Cardo Scala and Plantronics 640) it involved holding down the power button until the indicator light started flashing alternate colors.
Unless it's discoverable, it won't be visible to the BB. After it's paired, though, you won't have to do anything special to use it other than enable Bluetooth on the BB and turn the headset on.
