I had no issues with my upgrade. You will be prompted to backup your BB during the upgrade process. It preserved all of my settings, email, OTA apps, mp3 ringtones, etc...
Have not noticed any major changes in fuction. There are tiny cosmetic changes, the alert miniicons for voicemail, noservice, new browser EDGE indicator etc have changed.
