You guys are talking about two different things. William Lee, you need to reload the operating system and application software on your BlackBerry. Read the sticky threads at the top of the General BlackBerry forum and they explain how to use "Javaloader" to wipe out your BlackBerry (what you are referring to as a hard reset) and reload the OS through Application Loader.

l3stat - you are doing a reboot. The first time you use an application, like phone, it gets loaded. So naturally when you reboot, you have move memory. Just like Windows. And every other Operating System.
