I suspect turning off the device when it was rebooting created the problem....You should have just plugged it in and left it alone until it rebooted. If you do manage to force an OS reload with Desktop Manager or somehow load an older OS from somewhere, don't make the same mistake. Personally, I think you should be able to force an OS reload with Desktop Manager. Just follow the directions. For what it's worth.
