What brand was the card? A lot of times, especially on eBay, you will find counterfeit cards. I would stick with well-known, trusted brands such as SanDisk, Transcend, Kingston, etc. The class number indicates read/write speeds (Class 2 is 2 Mbps, Class 4 is 4 Mbps, and so on). the lower the class, the slower the speed. Currently I have a 32 Gb class 10 card. Newegg usually has pretty fair prices on them.
