With the new reader version you can just copy the .mobi ebook file to your BlackBerry's SD-Card into the directory "
eBooks". Once you start the Mobipocket Reader it will load the ebooks in that directory automatically.
I also just found this free ebook website for BlackBerry:

It still looks quite "beta" but I think its content is nice
