This is exactly the issue I'm having right now. I bought a 9700 off of craigslist and the guy who sold it claims that the phone's been unlocked (and it does seem unlocked when I look in the options - adv op - sim card - MEPD).

But, when I put in my Rogers sim card, I get the above "Phone not allowed mm6" error.

I tried going to different Rogers store, and they all seem to have the sim cards with the above mentioned numbers as prefix. They say all the sim cards they receive are like that (and I looked).

Is there a way to solve this? This is really bugging me - if the phone was indeed stolen and barred from the network, I don't want to waste my time on this..
